Performance Treatment
The 2020 South African Music Awards happened during a Global Pandemic and the country was on level 5 lockdown. We were unable to run the traditional show as usual; and for the first time the show was broken down into five episodes which were themed; for the culture, for the streets, for the club, for the soul and for the roots. For each individual performance – ADHERING TO STRICT COVID REGULATIONS we picked the location best suited for the artist and their style and dressed the location according to the theme of the sound and the theme of the show.

CI WAS SUPPLIED BY CLIENT AS A GUIDELINE TO CREATE ALL THE ANIMATION ASSETS. WE USED THE CIRCULAR MOTIF AS THE GUIDING PRINCIPLE TO CREATE THE ANIMATION PACK.
